In 2013 Australian New York City resident Yael Stone played inmate 'Lorna Morello' as part of Orange Is the New Black. Yael is a graduate of NIDA. Yael despite her youthful years, has had the privilege of learning from one of Australia's best storytellers. Yael is an internationally acclaimed actress throughout Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael's move to New York City began when her production was critically acclaimed at Brooklyn Academy of Music. Yael has co-founded The Cannery. The Cannery is a Bushwick, Brooklyn studio, The Cannery encourages creativity, creative writing and innovative projects, and supports the growth of writers in their teens.
